Day 1: Marrakech (Arrival)

Day 2: Marrakech – Imlil

Leave the city behind as you drive across open plains, heading toward the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, pass through the traditional marketplace of Tahanaoute, with sweeping views of valleys and peaks on the horizon. Arrive in the peaceful village of Imlil, set 1,740 metres above sea level and surrounded by rugged mountain scenery. Later, enjoy a short trek to the nearby village of Aroumd, taking in the fresh mountain air and dramatic views along the trail. Return to Imlil for the night. On clear nights, you might even relax on the rooftop terrace and watch the stars light up the sky.

Day 3: Imlil

Wake up to the crisp mountain air in Imlil, with the snow-dusted peaks of the High Atlas surrounding you. Today is all about slowing down and soaking in the rhythm of village life. Set out on a relaxed walk through the valley, following gentle trails between Imlil and Aroumd. Along the way, pass terraced fields, walnut trees, and small stone houses tucked into the hills. You might see local shepherds tending their flocks or children walking to school on the winding mountain paths. Stop in Aroumd, a tiny village perched on a rocky outcrop, where you can enjoy tea with a view and take in the peaceful silence of the mountains. There’s time to explore, rest, or simply watch the clouds drift over the peaks. In the afternoon, return to Imlil and unwind at your guesthouse. Maybe enjoy a warm meal, chat with your hosts, or step outside to catch the evening light washing over the valley.

Day 4: Imlil - Mount Toubkal

This morning, begin your journey toward the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Leaving the village of Aroumd, the trail leads you through the stunning Ait Mizane Valley, across rocky terrain and past traditional shepherd paths. Along the way, stop at Sidi Chamarouch, a remote pilgrimage site marked by a white shrine. While non-Muslims can’t enter the shrine itself, the site offers a moment of rest and reflection as you look out over the valley below, It's the perfect spot to pause and enjoy a picnic lunch Continue your steady climb up a series of mountain switchbacks, with dramatic views at every turn. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Toubkal Base Camp, sitting at 3,207 metres. Settle in, enjoy a warm, hearty dinner, and rest well – tomorrow, the summit awaits.

Day 5: Mount Toubkal - The Summit Of Mount Toubkal - Aroumd

Set out before sunrise for the ultimate goal of your mountain journey — the summit of Mount Toubkal, rising to 4,167 metres. The early hours bring cool air and a quiet stillness as you follow the rocky trail upward. The final stretch is steep and challenging, with some scrambling over loose stones, but every step takes you closer to the top. At the summit, take time to soak in the spectacular views. On clear days, you can see across the entire Atlas range, all the way to the Atlantic coast in one direction and the Sahara Desert in the other. After enjoying the moment and resting at the top, begin your descent. Pause at Sidi Chamarouch to enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch by the river, surrounded by the peaceful mountain setting. By late afternoon, return to Aroumd.

Day 6: Aroumd – Marrakech

After breakfast, take a final look at the peaks that have been your backdrop over the past few days. Then begin your descent to Imlil, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the vibrant city of Marrakech. Once you arrive, enjoy the afternoon at your own pace. You might choose to wander through the medina, where lively souks line the narrow streets each one dedicated to its own craft, from pottery and carpets to spices and woodwork. The rest of the day is yours to relax, shop, or uncover a few last surprises in this unforgettable city.
